Book 27 finds the children continuing their quest northward along the Grasslands beside the Roaring River. They are told that further north is the Great City. It is a place with much food and great joy - and no monsters at all. But as the children head north on the Grasslands, they must overcome a few dangerous challenges. This adventure is filled with a big bad bunch of mean mad monsters. All that can be said with absolute certainty is that these Grasslands hold secrets that should not have been explored. And yet how could ten brave explorers possibly have known that?
