It Takes A Village

It takes a village.

But this one wants something in return.

Jo Hart is the school administrator who keeps St Thomas' Primary running smoothly. Between life as a single mum, demanding parents, endless emails, and the looming threat of Ofsted, there's always something that needs her attention.

At the start of a new school year, a new family arrives in the village-and Jo thinks navigating playground politics will be the biggest challenge ahead.

She's wrong.

Dead birds begin to fall from the sky. Deep scratches appear on the school hall floor. And the sense that something isn't quite right begins to creep into every corner of the school.

As Jo and her sarcastic best friend start digging for answers, they uncover a truth the village has kept hidden for years.

Some secrets were never meant to surface.

And this one won't stay buried.
