Advances in Natural Product Chemistry

Natural product chemistry is an important and dynamic field of chemistry since it deals with the chemical processes associated with living organisms. The investigation of the chemistry of terrestrial and marine organisms has led to a host of novel bioactive compounds many of which now find use in medicine. Such materials offer exciting challenges to synthetic organic chemists and a variety of brilliant approaches and strategies have been developed by leading exponents of the art.
