Extreme weather such as hurricanes, heavy storms, and droughts is not frequent but has disastrous events for human lives, social activities, and terrestrial ecosystems. Recent evidence confirms that the unnatural effects of climate variation are making extreme weather more frequent and destructive. Currently, insufficient efforts have been devoted to characterizing the severe impacts of extreme weather on hydrology, water quality, and ecosystems in agricultural and forested watersheds. This Special Issue tackles these challenges. All aspects of extreme weather-induced issues such as hydrological processes (e.g., streamflow, floods, drought, evapotranspiration, and water yield), water quality constituents (e.g., sediment and nutrients), and ecological services (e.g., wetlands and habitats) along with land use changes, best management practices, field observations, remote sensing, computer modeling, and multivariate statistics are included in this Reprint.
