Ambition for Our Territory: Planning for Space and Time

This is a book of provocation: it challenges the static conceptions of geography according to which territory is permanent; it challenges the economic visions where the production of work and wealth have no connection with spatial organization; it challenges the political culture where inherited territories become refuges for the anguishes of the modern world.
Engaged in a comparative approach with Germany, and immersed in the entire futurology of the work of Datar, this book is filled with decisive proposals for a France that would regain a strong collective ambition while remaining true to its administrative and political legacy. With a concrete and clear commitment, Jean-Louis Guigou continues his work on France's adaptation to modernity.
