Nils og Nordavinden. Learn Norwegian with a Story: An easy Norwegian reader from the world of The My

Improve your Norwegian with an easy (and absurd) story

There is a secret about dolls and teddy bears:

They can walk. They can think. They can talk.

Most humans don't know that.

Except Torunn Færvik. She knows that Nils, a Norwegian "nisse", and Emil, a teddy bear, are alive. And she has an unusual job offer for them: the struggling newspaper Nordavinden in Tromsø is in desperate need of new journalists, but cannot pay them.

However, there is a challenge: no one must see them while they investigate, write articles, interview people, travel across Norway ... How will Torunn manage a doll and a teddy bear as secret staff members, while her own chaotic personal life threatens to fall apart?

Nils og Nordavinden is designed for adult learners who want to start reading real stories in Norwegian.

- ideal for learners at A2-B1 level or above

- written in clear, natural Norwegian (bokmål)

- carefully curated vocabulary

- glossary for difficult words

- grammar tips from Nils himself

- audio recordings available online

Set in the same world as The Mystery of Nils, this story can be enjoyed on its own.
