Inspired by Georges Perec's novel, Things investigates the enjoyment of form through coffee shop visits and coastline walks

Traveling through Taiwan, German photographer Arne Schmitt (born 1984) visited 18 cafés and wrote an essay for each locale. These observations are complemented by 18 photographs on stones along the island's coast, creating a commonplace but complex meditation on image and text.
