Resisting injustice through faith

What if faith could become a lever for resisting injustice? In a world where gender-based violence (GBV) persists, this book sheds light on a little-known but decisive player: the World Council of Churches (WCC). Through an approach combining theology, ethics and social sciences, Élia Fran De La Vega explores how ecumenical commitment can provide a prophetic voice in the face of oppression. The book offers a critical rereading of GBV, analyzes patriarchal complicities and revisits biblical texts in the light of feminist theologies. It highlights concrete initiatives such as the Thursdays in Black campaign and the Gender Justice program, rooted in community and liturgical action.A committed work, between rigorous analysis and active hope, for all those who believe that faith can - and must - become an instrument of justice.
