Understanding Economic Journalism by the New Brazilian Middle Class

This book addresses issues surrounding the rise of a new middle class in Brazil. This class has begun to consume various products and services, but lacks understanding of simple concepts such as the need to control debt and how interest rates work. But why do people in this class understand little or nothing about these basic concepts? Throughout the book, the authors clarify who the members of this class are, what their occupations are, and their understanding of economic journalism.
