The Internet, digital social networks, and more generally information and communication technologies (ICT) have developed and spread across the international landscape in terms of studies, production, and consumption. The Internet as a subject is developing both from a research perspective and in terms of marketing practice, as more and more studies are looking at the changes that the Internet is bringing about in everyday life; more and more companies are also seeking to use it as a strategic lever, with varying degrees of success.
