The experiences of Muslim women wearing veils in the Carinthian labor market have not yet been examined from a scientific perspective. Using problem-centered interviews, the main categories of "positive and negative experiences in the Carinthian labor market" were identified deductively. The extensive material was evaluated using qualitative content analysis (content structuring). This study observed a tendency for women who wear headscarves to have difficulty gaining a foothold in the Carinthian labor market. Experiences relating to the five subcategories: "AMS/advisor," "job interview," "supervisor," "colleagues," and "work" were mostly mentioned in a negative context. These findings indicate that measures are needed to facilitate access to the labor market for women who wear headscarves.
