Effects of FDI on employment and economic performance

This book offers an in-depth analysis of the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on Tunisia's labor market and economic performance over the period 1983-2023. It combines a review of the theoretical and empirical literature on the effects of FDI with an econometric study specific to the Tunisian economy, integrating both macroeconomic and sectoral dimensions.The book begins by situating the post-revolutionary Tunisian context and the major economic transformations that have influenced FDI attractiveness: political instability, structural reforms, the 2016 Investment Law, global economic crises, fluctuating oil prices and the impacts of COVID-19.
