In today's disoriented and sickly society, where mental disorders are growing significantly, where scientific psychology does not seem to be able to explain any more, and where philosophical and sociological orientations are still not enough, there is no choice but to turn to the deepest, to the unconscious, to the return of the repressed, to the return of the displaced, and that is what we intend to describe in this book. It begins with an introduction that includes materialistic proposals still to be made, and very successful proposals from the analytical philosophy in relation to self-deception, to later enter into some scientific contributions of current cognitive psychology, and finally, show examples of the personal unconscious from the perspective of the analytical psychology of Carl Gustav Jung, so that readers can understand their unconscious processes and find keys to reflection and transformation that can help them in their process of development and individuation.
