Urban Justice and Social Cohesion in Morocco

Against a backdrop of rapid urbanization, Moroccan cities combine economic growth with profound social inequalities. Despite public efforts in the areas of housing and development, many vulnerable groups - women in precarious situations, people with disabilities, children in difficulty, migrants and informal workers - remain excluded from effective access to fundamental rights.This book analyzes urban justice in Morocco, combining law, geography and development economics. It highlights the limits of current urban policies and explores the strategic role of the social economy.Cooperatives, associations and mutuals thus appear as essential levers for strengthening social inclusion and building fairer, more inclusive cities.
