Exchange Rates and Brazil's Trade Balance

This paper explores the exchange rate and its impact on Brazilian international trade. The attention given to this topic both in the literature and in government policy underscores its relevance in the global economy. Given that international trade is influenced by numerous variables, the central objective of this study was to ascertain, through econometric calculations, the significance of the exchange rate variable on Brazil's economic performance, particularly in relation to exports of manufactured goods.
