Therapeutic Bionanocomposites

Miss Mehdia GANDI's PhD thesis, entitled "Therapeutic bionanocomposites" in Pharmaceutical Process Engineering, focuses on the therapeutic properties of chitosan and Ag nanoparticles.This research focuses on the use of materials such as chitosan and silver nitrate to create antiseptic bionanocomposite hydrogels. These materials are being studied for their antibacterial properties and their potential in wound healing. The thesis is structured in two main parts: a theoretical section which discusses the properties of the materials used and the reaction mechanisms, and an experimental section which details the preparation methods and test results of these bionanocomposites.This book includes broader research aimed at improving the efficacy of topical and even oral antibiotic treatments, using bio-inspired and eco-friendly materials, paving the way for innovative applications in the medical field and in skin healing.
