The book highlights the strategic role of customs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as an institution essential to state sovereignty, the regulation of international trade and the mobilization of public resources. It demonstrates that the customs function goes far beyond the traditional administrative framework to become central to contemporary economic, security and geopolitical issues. Faced with the globalization of trade and the growing complexity of fraud mechanisms, the Congolese customs officer is called upon to develop multidimensional skills, integrating legal, economic and technological dimensions.
