For several years now, the Liptako-Gourma region has been facing major security challenges linked to the actions of armed terrorist groups. Violence in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger has had a serious impact on education, leading to school closures and the mass displacement of teachers and children. The States of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) have taken initiatives to ensure educational continuity, but guaranteeing quality, inclusive education remains a challenge. This book offers a reflection on education in the context of crisis in the Liptako-Gourma region, providing researchers, practitioners and trainers with lines of thought and perspectives for achieving inclusive education. It also highlights the fact that terrorism is first and foremost a political issue, and that the actions of armed groups are aimed at destructuring the administration and educational institutions.
