Introduction: Acute bronchiolitis (AB), a major cause of hospitalization in infants, requires prevention based on parental information. This study assesses the knowledge of mothers before they leave the maternity hospital.Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study (October-December 2023, Ben Arous Hospital, Tunisia) by questionnaire of 182 mothers.Results: 42.8% of mothers were unaware of the disease. Among those who were aware of it (n=106), contagiousness (44.4%), viral origin (27.4%) and seasonality (58.5%) were variously identified. 42.5% believed in the existence of a vaccine. Clinical signs and severity were known by around 50% of respondents. Major gaps concerned risk factors (60.4%), practical measures (84%) and preventive measures (92.5%).
