Pain is a common complaint in geriatric medicine. It is associated with a number of etiologies, including vasculitis. Headaches in giant cell arteritis (GCA), formerly known as Horton's disease, are almost constant. This is a segmental, focal pan-arteritis of the elderly. Its prognosis is dominated by the risk of ischemic complications, particularly ocular, leading to permanent blindness if diagnosis is delayed. The aim of our work was to describe the clinical, paraclinical, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects of CAG in the internal medicine department of Charles Nicolle Hospital over a 20-year period.
