Arise, Alchemy!

No one is capable of understanding alchemy without realizing its inner suffering and plumbing the most hidden depths of experience conveyed by the alchemists in the Language of the Birds. "We are present at the last days (no, hours!) of modern human civilization." "All will pass away, nothing will remain but death and the glory of deeds..." These phrases begin and end Sergei Telegin's new book. Only as a distant spark in the darkness of the degenerate civilization of postmodernity shines the call made in the title: "Rise up, Alchemy!". This time the high alchemical Tradition is revealed by Telegin through a special reading of the Old Russian "The Tale of Peter and Fevronia", as well as through hermetic analysis of the Marquis de Sade's story "Rodrigo, or the Enchanted Tower".
