Linguistic dynamics from toponymy to administration

Plurilingualism is a linguistic given in human societies. Beyond their number, languages are now subject to language pragmatism across spaces and institutions. Their value now lies in their functions. In Burkina Faso, as in many other countries, linguistic dynamics are visible and questioning.In fact, especially in cities, numerous changes are continually taking place in the naming of spaces, through toponymic markings. The languages of wide communication - French, English, Spanish, etc. - are no longer the only ones to occupy toponymic and administrative discourse. Nowadays, we are faced with writings with a nationalistic identity.
