Three Studies on Mircea Eliade

The book presents three aspects of Mircea Eliade's personality and life. The first study explains how the young writer, who arrived in India eager to learn everything about the country, portrayed India by distorting its exoticism. The second study examines the poetics of the diary as established by Eliade, who kept several diaries throughout his life. He was convinced that the diary was a literary genre favored by future generations. The third study demonstrates how the Romanian writer conceived of his exile and how he succeeded in transforming it into a victory over fate and time.
