Analysis of the Education System in Senegal: From the PDEF to the PAQUET

Our contribution reviews the Senegalese education system from 2000 to 2011, that is, the period during which the PDEF (Ten-Year Plan for Education and Training) was implemented. It also draws on the new guidelines of the PAQUET (Program for the Improvement of Quality, Equity, and Transparency, 2013-2025) and proposes strategies and solutions to revitalize education and training in Senegal. It draws on studies and research conducted in partnership with projects, NGOs, and local, national, and international institutions. It is also supported by case studies and actual statistics from two pilot communities.
