Algorithm visualisation involves representing the abstract concepts of an algorithm using visual aids and tools. It aids in learning and better understanding how algorithms work, and makes it easier to analyse their data structures and runtime. As the subject of 'algorithms and data structures' plays a major and important role in computer science education, algorithm visualisation has attracted considerable interest worldwide in recent years. What is interesting here is that, although most lecturers are convinced of the educational benefits of this new technology, algorithm visualisations are rarely used in teaching. The reason for this discrepancy is, on the one hand, the lack of high-quality visualisations available, and, on the other hand, the fact that learners are not truly convinced of the educational effectiveness of visualisations in this field.
