Pedagogical Practices in Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education

This study investigates pedagogical practices in Environmental Education developed in Early Childhood Education within municipal daycare centers in Presidente Kennedy, Espírito Santo. It is grounded on the understanding that incorporating Environmental Education from early childhood contributes to the formation of critical, conscious individuals committed to environmental preservation and the construction of more sustainable societies. The objective of this research is to analyze the pedagogical practices in Environmental Education developed in Early Childhood Education in the municipality of Presidente Kennedy, considering their organization, pedagogical intentionality, and contribution to shaping environmental values and attitudes in children. This is a study with a quantitative approach, of a descriptive nature, using field research as its technical procedure, conducted across ten daycare centers within the municipal school network of Presidente Kennedy. As a methodological strategy, a structured questionnaire was administered to Early Childhood Education teachers.
