Eleven Pictures of Time: The Physics, Philosophy and Politics of Time Beliefs

Time beliefs relate to human values in a variety of religions, as this book explains. But today we believe physics has the truth about the nature of time. The book explains how time beliefs were politically manipulated in theology to manipulate human behaviour. And how the arguments of Augustine are completely mirrored in the supposed "science" of Stephen Hawking, and others. Indeed, wrong time beliefs have infiltrated physics from the time of Newton and Einstein. The book also explains how a corrected physics with a tilt in the arrow of time leads to better ethics.
