***You have NEVER seen the Swedish police like this before...*** Police cadet Andreas Wiklundi one month from becoming a fully trained police officer; the nerves, insecurity and self-doubt are on the outside, and he does everything he can to prove himself to his instructing officers. Determined to show himself competent, Andreas finds the girl, who instantly turns into a shadowy figure with razor sharp teeth. The girl disappears, leaving Andreas unconscious, left with horrible bite marks in his neck and a growing thirst for something very forbidden. THE LAST DAY SHIFT shows the everyday life of the Stockholm police force, in a reality where strange creatures are as real as people, and follows Andreas in a double journey of evolution, where he on one hand just wants to fulfil his dream of becoming a police officer - on the other hand, he is turning into a vampire. In the background, the Police Authority has to deal with the sudden death of its most senior commissioner, while Andreas fights a different kind of demons in his personal life.
