Cocaine Skies: How an Ex-Navy Fighter Pilot Found Adventures in Colombia's Cocaine War

A high-octane memoir of danger, redemption, and survival in the heart of Colombia's cocaine war.

After a legendary career as a British Royal Navy Sea Harrier pilot in the Falklands War, Lieutenant-Commander Stephen Harrison Thomas traded the disciplined skies of military aviation for the monotony of commercial airline life. But when routine flights left him craving adventure, an unexpected offer changed everything.

From the cockpit of fighter jets to the lawless jungles of Colombia, Cocaine Skies is an adrenaline-fueled true story of one man's plunge into the world of counter-narcotics operations-where every flight was a gamble, and survival was never guaranteed.

Drawn into a covert war against the cocaine cartels, Thomas found himself flying perilous anti-narcotics missions, dodging cartel gunfire, working alongside intelligence agencies, and navigating a treacherous web of power, corruption, and survival. But Colombia's war wasn't just fought in the skies. On the ground, he encountered hidden enemies, unlikely allies, and a world that blurred the lines between right and wrong.

With gripping storytelling and firsthand accounts of dogfights, DEA missions, prison escapes, and close encounters with death, Cocaine Skies is a thrilling memoir of resilience, danger, and the unrelenting pursuit of purpose.
