My perception of writing is not dissimilar to the methodical approach of a scientific invention. Both require creativity, precision, and attention to detail.

What happens when an individual decides to take on this production as their permanent role - to call themselves, not just someone who writes, but a writer? How are they transformed? How differently must they operate?

What does it take to be a writer? What do you need to scale that fence, or cross over that drawbridge, from being merely the person who writes, to the person who is hired to write?
