Widower: How One Man's Wives Kept Dying and No One Believed It Was a Coincidence

Six marriages. Four dead wives. One man who always walked away richer.

For more than three decades, Thomas Randolph did what predators do best. He charmed. He courted. He promised forever. And one by one, the women who believed him ended up in the ground, while he collected the payout and moved on to the next.

No one wanted to say it out loud. Surely it was grief. Surely it was bad luck. Surely no one man could be this unlucky, again and again and again.

When his sixth wife, Sharon Causse, was gunned down in her own Las Vegas home in what he swore was a random break in, two detectives refused to accept the easy answer. What they uncovered instead was a pattern stretching back to 1975, a trail of insurance policies, quiet cremations, and women who had spent decades too afraid or too unbelieved to speak.

It would take fifteen years, two trials, and one daughter's relentless fight for the truth before a jury finally said the words her family had waited a lifetime to hear.

Drawing on court records, investigative files, and the accounts of the survivors who lived to tell it, The Widower reconstructs one of the most chilling true crime cases in modern American history, a documentary style investigation into how a man hid in plain sight for thirty years, and how the people who refused to look away finally brought him down.

This isn't just a story about murder. It's a story about how easily we choose to believe the version of events that lets us sleep at night.

Once you start, you will not be able to put it down.
