This is not a book about becoming smaller.
It will not ask you to recover the body you had at thirty, praise you for taking up less room, or suggest that a lower number makes you healthier, happier or more disciplined. It also will not pretend the changes never hurt. You are allowed to miss a shape that felt familiar. Refusing shame does not mean enjoying every change.
What it offers instead is an explanation of why the things that used to work stopped working. What happens to muscle, fat distribution, appetite, sleep, insulin sensitivity and daily energy use across the transition, and where the research is genuinely solid rather than merely confident.
There is no rigid plan, because a plan that ignores your health, working hours, income, mobility, food preferences, caring responsibilities and medical history would be no use to you anyway.
The Menopause Weight Shift is Book Three in The Menopause Clarity Series.
