The Renaissance of the Caucasus: The Viticultural Wealth of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, one of the pillars of the "Cradle of Wine" with 7,000 years of history, is reborn by combining 450 indigenous grape varieties with cutting-edge technology. Its unique terroir encompasses nine climatic zones, protected by the Caucasus Mountains and influenced by the Caspian Sea, including key regions such as Shirvan (limestone soil, ideal for Madrasa red wine) and Ganja-Gazakh.

The native grape varieties define its identity:

Madrasa (Red): The "Cabernet of the Caucasus" from Shirvan, producing robust, full-bodied reds with aging potential (10-15 years).

Bayan Shira (White): The most planted, acclaimed for its vibrant freshness, citric acidity, and mineral profile.

The production process blends ancient traditions, such as fermentation in clay jars (Küp or Qaraja) for authentic Amber Wines (orange wines), with modern techniques, using steel tanks for aromatic white wines and sparkling wines.
