Yael has one big question: where do ideas come from?
Then a tiny spark named Spark turns up to show him. Look. Listen. Smell. Put together two things that don't belong together. And ask the two magic words: What if...?
What if fish could fly? What if my dog told jokes? What if the moon were a swing? A bicycle plus an umbrella equals a raincoat!
But an idea is no good if it stays inside. So Yael grabs crayons, cardboard, scissors and tape and gets to work. The cardboard cracks, a splotch of paint lands on the page, and the invention turns out nothing like the picture in his head. And that is exactly fine.
A warm, funny picture book about curiosity, courage and happy accidents, for every child who has ever wondered how imagination works. Because every idea starts out tiny, ideas are contagious, and the only thing you really need is to start.
What if...?
