Book of Psalms - Volume. 2 Man and Salvation

The Book of Psalms: Volume 2. Psalms 1-41 - Man and Salvation

The Book of Psalms has comforted, guided, and transformed many across generations. This patristic commentary opens Psalms 1-41 through the living faith of the early Church Fathers, revealing the Psalms not merely as poetry, but as a spiritual journey of humanity's creation, fall, redemption, and restoration in Christ.

This volume, Man and Salvation, corresponds to the first division of the Psalter and reflects the spirit of Genesis. It begins with the blessedness of the righteous man, explores humanity's struggle and separation from God, and culminates in the saving work of the Redeemer and the hope of restoration.

Drawing from Scripture, liturgical tradition, and the writings of the Fathers, this commentary presents the Psalms as:
- prayers of repentance and hope
- songs of worship and spiritual warfare
- prophetic revelations of Christ
- guides for daily spiritual life
- treasures of Orthodox Christian interpretation

Within these pages, readers encounter Christ as the Good Shepherd who gives His life for His sheep, sustains them through grace, and prepares them for eternal glory.
This volume includes:
- Commentary on Psalms 1-41
- insights from the early Church Fathers
- spiritual meditations and pastoral reflections
- theological and liturgical interpretations
- Christ-centred understanding of the Psalms
