Song for a Dying Race

A SONG FOR A DYING RACE
In a near future, humanity has conquered disease, aging, poverty, and even natural reproduction. Children are grown in industrial embryo facilities, raised by artificial caretakers, and conditioned for a world where every material need is fulfilled, but where meaning, spirituality, and human connection have slowly withered away.
Tormented by existential emptiness, Freitas begins a spiritual journey that transforms him from isolated outcast into the leader of a global ideological movement. Guided by the mysterious Veronica, he embraces a terrifying vision: that life itself is a form of imprisonment, and that humanity can only achieve true liberation through transcendence beyond existence. As his followers spread across the world, civilization descends into fanaticism, plague, and apocalyptic collapse.
Two hundred years later, humanity has been reborn from the ashes of Freitas's apocalypse.
Among the stars, Elegia and Andrew find themselves caught in a far greater conflict involving ancient alien civilizations, metaphysical predators, shattered worlds, and the hidden forces that manipulate consciousness itself. As entire species face annihilation and the boundaries between life, death, and soul begin to unravel, humanity must confront the ultimate question:
Is suffering the price of freedom, or the path to transcendence?
Blending dystopian science fiction, philosophical speculation, spiritual horror, and cosmic epic, A SONG FOR A DYING RACE is a sweeping saga about fanaticism, love, extinction, rebirth, and the eternal struggle for the fate of the human soul.
