The townsfolk think the giant in the bay is a monster. They are wrong - and they have hired you to kill the one thing keeping them alive.
The "castle" grinding toward the coast was not built. It was grown. A hermit crab the size of a cathedral has hauled itself out of the western sea and stopped just short of the town, wearing an old shipwreck and two centuries of accreted shell like a crown. The magistrate has already sent three parties of brave souls inside to find and kill whatever drives it. None of them came back. You are the fourth.
The Gullet of Graw is a complete, ready-to-run 5e one-shot you can drop into any fifth edition campaign or play as a standalone evening. Board the creature through a breathing gate that is not quite a gate, climb through coral corridors and a digestive lake where swallowed ships slowly dissolve, and meet the half-barnacle court that can never leave its body - all the way up to the helm, and the truth about who the real monster is.
This is body horror with a tragic heart. The real question is not whether your party can win the fight - they cannot; the creature is far too vast to kill - but who they are willing to sacrifice to turn her aside before she crushes the town in her path. The dungeon breathes. The corridors are half ruin and half organ. The one who steers the creature has been holding her back far longer than anyone should be able to, for reasons your party will have to uncover and then decide what to do about. Combat waits in every act, but the climax is a choice, and there is no clean hand: every ending saves someone and dooms someone else. Your players will argue about what they did long after the session ends.
