Poet Rises

American Poets Inc. presents The Poet Rises, a powerful and unflinching poetry collection by Samuel Ludke, a voice emerging from grief, devotion, memory, and survival.

In these pages, Ludke explores the sacred and the shattered-love at the moment it leaves, innocence lost without explanation, water that remembers what people forget, and the quiet violence of endings that arrive without permission. His poems move through mythic landscapes and intimate rooms alike, speaking for the dead, the abandoned, the tender, and the enduring.

The Poet Rises is a book of thresholds: doors opening, rivers falling, voices breaking, and hearts carried long after goodbye. Each poem bears witness to what remains when certainty dissolves-when faith must be rebuilt from absence, and language becomes the only way forward.
