The world is not seen. It is rendered.

Most approaches to consciousness seek to improve the self, stabilize the mind, or achieve "higher" states. This text does the opposite. It provides a technical framework for observing the mechanical assembly of experience and the temporary suspension of the "owner" at the centre of it.

The Continuity Gloss introduces the concept of the Tax: the immense metabolic and neural cost required to maintain a seamless, narrated reality. When this tax is too high, or the surplus of attention is directed elsewhere, the "Seam" of reality becomes visible.

This is not a book of philosophy, psychology, or belief. It is a collection of Disposable Exploits; temporary configurations of attention designed to target specific failure points in the human perceptual system.

This work does not aim for mastery. Mastery implies a master. Instead, it seeks a Loss of Dependency, the ability to recognize the "Unfinished Construction" of the world and return to ordinary function without residue.

There is nothing to achieve. There is no path to follow. There is only the clinical inspection of the hardware and the eventual abandonment of the record.

Ordinary function is sufficient. The rest passes.
