Crudely Drawn

As a young child, Baylor experienced a devastating event that would alter the direction of her life. Filled with trauma and guilt, she tried to confide in someone who refused to believe her story, so she bottled up what transpired, not even talking about it with her brother, Kyler, who was there that night. Years later, the same monsters that visited her home as a child, the kind of terrifying creatures that seemingly crawl out of one's nightmares, return to wreak havoc. With help from her best friend, Bill, and her brother, she must face these things and destroy them. Baylor knows she can't fail, or others will die.

"Heather Ann Larson's Crudely Drawn checks all the literary boxes. Intriguing characters, a palpable sense of horror and dread, and impeccable storytelling. A solid debut for an excellent, new author!" - Ronald Kelly, author of Fear

"A nerve-jangling tale with the kind of wonderfully creepy imagery that will haunt your mind for days." - Sammy Scott, author of BETA and At Home with the Horrors

"Heather Ann Larson has imagined a gripping, original tale about choice and consequence, about dark esoterica and otherworldly threats, about family and relationships, but above all about the personal demons we struggle to exorcize. And she presents this imagining in a tight yet creative way that flows to the story's satisfying conclusion. Highly recommend!" - James G. Carlson, author of The Eleventh Door and Underwater Typewriter & Other Tales
