Rise and Fall in Ministry

The Rise and Fall in Ministry is a powerful, 8-chapter journey that speaks to the heart of every leader. The path of service is rarely a straight line; it is a rugged terrain of mountain peaks and dark valleys. To lead is to carry both the weight of the cross and the frailty of the human heart, and often, our greatest falls happen when we forget that we are sustained by grace, not by our own strength.

The Purpose of the Journey

This book serves as a **mirror for the soul and a roadmap for the weary**. Within these life-changing chapters, we explore "the rise"-those moments of divine favor and explosive growth-and the inevitable "fall" that occurs when the ego outpaces the spirit. My own journey has taught me that a fall is not a finality, but a **divine pruning** designed to bring forth more fruit.

Scriptural Foundations

We anchor our exploration in the timeless truths of Scripture:

The Warning of Pride: "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). We examine how success can subtly shift our focus from the Creator to the self.

The Power of Restoration: The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down" (Psalm 145:14). We look at ministry through the lens of a God who specializes in rebuilding broken altars.

The Strength in Weakness: Like Paul, we learn that "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

What We Will Explore

Across these seven chapters, we navigate the full cycle of the ministerial calling:

1. The Ascent: Recognizing the call and managing the responsibility of influence without losing your identity.

2. The Descent: Identifying the "cracks in the foundation"-burnout, isolation, and the loss of intimacy with the Divine.

3. The Resurrection: The compassionate process of healing, accountability, and returning to service with a more authentic, humbled spirit.

True ministry is not found in the height of the platform, but in the depth of the recovery. This book is your invitation to rise again, wiser and more grounded than before.
