December 25th and the traditions that came with it

For years I have been fascinated by the symbols of Christmas and the traditions. Where did they come from? How did all this get started?

December 25th is, of course, the birthday of Jesus. And for years I have heard about the commercialism of it, how the world has hijacked the religious significance of it, and how the very mention of Jesus, or the word Christmas, might offend someone simply because it contains the word Christ.

I've heard about Santa Claus being a pagan symbol of the world's scheme to hijack the true meaning of the holiday. How the gifts became more important than the reason for the season.

So in this book, I will offer a perspective that will bring all these things together. From a historical perspective, from scripture, and from the One that the day is truly all about.

We will examine December 25th, everything about it, and all that came with it, and the traditions it started.

My hearts desire is that from now on, when you see the symbols of the Christmas season, when you see the tree, the lights, the gifts, the colors...even Santa....you see HIM! Jesus the Christ who is the true reason we celebrate this special day.
