Buster Keaton's Day Dreams: Adaptation of Buster Keaton's film "Day Dreams" into Comics

Buster Keaton just wants to prove himself worthy of the girl he loves. Her father sends him off to the city with one condition: come back a success, or don't come back at all. What follows is Keaton at his most gloriously unlucky - a string of jobs gone spectacularly wrong, each one escalating into the kind of elaborate physical catastrophe only he could survive. It's a story about ambition outpacing ability, and about a man who keeps getting back up no matter how many times the world (and his own choices) knock him down.

This volume redraws and recomposes Keaton's 1922 short frame by frame for the page, reworking panel proportions, cropping, and framing to capture the rhythm and timing that made his physical comedy so enduring - now rendered in bold, expressive black-and-white linework built for the comics format. Every pratfall, every disastrous escape, every deadpan reaction is reimagined as sequential art, letting new readers discover Keaton's genius and longtime fans see a beloved film in an entirely new light.

Day Dreams is part of an ongoing series independently publishing Keaton's silent films as graphic novels - a project born from a lifelong love of his particular brand of humor, where good intentions and bad luck collide, and the joke is always on the guy trying hardest to get things right.
