During World War II, around 5,000 Norwegians enlisted for service in Adolf Hitler's elite force - the Waffen-SS.
Several hundred were officers. Most of these received their military training during the war at the SS-Junkerschulen in the small town of Bad Tölz in the state of Bavaria.
This book gives us the story of these men. About those who fell and those who survived. Never before has such extensive material about this group of men been made public. Here you will find facts about their background, education, about their life as an SS officer, and about the everyday life of the war. But also the punishments they received after the war from the Norwegian state.
You will also find a large number of photos, documents and information that wasn´t published in the first norwegian edition.
