You Can Trust the Old Testament

Contrary to the claims of skeptics, the mainstream media, liberal and secular schools of religion, the Tanakh or Old Testament is a reliable source of information. False claims and distortions such as the Documentary Hypothesis has given a completely unreliable portrait of the Old Testament Scriptures. These distortions.and misunderstandings have convinced most people the Old Testament is filled with errors, contradictions and discrepancies. It is therefore commonly dismissed as myth and legend. However, the science of textual criticism demonstrates that we have an authentic and reliable text. That means that the text we have of the Old Testament is essentially the same as when first written. There are minor errors from hand copying, but nothing that changes or distorts the reliability of the text. Historical research and archaeological discoveries show that we can also trust in the accuracy of the history presented in the Old Testament. That means what is written is what actually took place all the centuries ago.. You can trust the information about who God is, what He has done in the past and what is yet to be completed.
