The Road to Succeed Based on a True Life Story.

My name is John West, and I, like most men, at some point, when facing reality, have created many pages through history with time. Some days were filled with personal experiences, while others were shaped deep within my mother's life, influenced by a love for a man who was not the best in our lives-understanding how every unique experience could affect my life and my thinking patterns in the future while navigating a life of my own and how I could succeed. You will read about my experiences starting from my birth in Clarksdale, Mississippi, in a neighborhood called The "Roundyard," a Black Community similar to other Southern Delta communities where your race and social class determined where people lived in Clarksdale. The Roundyard was filled with day laborers and those considered the Black working class. It was located just off the Black Business district that centered in a small area separated by the railroad tracks as the dividing line where the "Upper-middle-class whites lived on the other side across the Sunflower River, whose bridge provided a direct route to the downtown shopping area with its banks, post office, and libraries. My life journey will take me beyond the stagnant lifestyle in Clarksdale to the vibrant streets of Chicago as I continue in a world of constant change. Now, I want to share my entire journey from birth to the days that brought me to my current existence. My experiences can help someone else in this day and age. Like many other authors, I found an excellent vehicle for success in reaching others. I have created my book of experiences and a few short stories as you travel with me during my journey, as my true life story.
