Hearts In Darkness

Medieval Ireland is the land of flourishing kingdoms. Nechtan O'Crist, the Royal Prince of Tyndall has endured pre-arranged marriages that have ended in disaster. Ana, his third wife was a conniving woman who convinced Nechtan that he was a curse. Unbeknownst to the rest of the kingdom, Nechtan and his new wife do not behave as a newlywed couple should. Their bond is formed in a deep, understanding friendship rather than intimacy.

Onora O'Conni, the only child born to a peasant and a physician in Tyndall's surrounding communities has been considered a spinster for a long time. Her sharp mind and wit are only matched by the skills she had no choice but to learn. An expert in the exam room and in battle causes some to believe that she is a sorceress intent on putting a curse on the royal family.

Princess Sara, Nechtan's new bride has seen the changes in her husband after Onora nursed her back to health. She should be angry, possibly even jealous, but her heart has always belonged to someone else.

With all of the obstacles in their way, it becomes all but impossible for the members of the royal family to find peace and love. Is there a way to heal the heartache or are they doomed to mourn for the love they were never meant to have?
