Mountain Cookery: The Best of Appalachian Cuisine

Appalachian cuisine has a rich history spanning several generations. It brings me great joy to pass down the traditional recipes that have been cherished for years. Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina, specifically in the close-knit community of Spillcorn, has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the region. The passion for cooking southern delicacies that I possess can be attributed to the invaluable teachings of my grandmothers and mother, who imparted the time-honored techniques of Appalachian cuisine.
