Journey Towards Humility

Adults are all people from whom the younger generation learn. They sometimes take it upon themselves to pass on what they know--knowledge--to the younger generation. The success of this may be measured by written examination. But it seems that people often lose sight of the fact that they, perhaps subconsciously, pass on what they are, which has an immeasurable influence on the younger generation. This is sometimes rather confusingly referred to as the hidden curriculum. Brian Bishop suggests that this is of enormous importance. This book seeks to examine this idea and to promote an awareness of the crucial importance of the obligation adults have to communicate it. While what they know is important, what they are is perhaps of greater importance.
