From Biblical Animals to Family Pets: A Spiritual Evolution

From Biblical Animals to Family Pets begins with ten general reflections on animals found in the Bible, explores their characteristics, and presents six exercises on biblical animal spirituality. In the second part, what is learned from exploring biblical animals is applied specifically to Shelbydog, the author's deceased pet; he demonstrates how his dog was a theophany, a manifestation of God, how she and he connected spiritually, and how she nourished his spirituality. Family pets not only represent spiritual biblical evolution, but they can help the readers who own one understand the spiritual connection they share with their pet. The book ends with reflections on animals and saints who connected spiritually with specific animals, plus a few words on modern whisperers who are able to connect spiritually with animals today. People share their spirit with their pet's spirit and discover Divine Spirit (God). Pets enhance spiritual awareness. To understand this process, read the pages of this book.
